Plaque:
The cremated ashes of Major John Amory Travers who died at Tortington House, on the 4th day of June, 1915, aged 67 years, lie buried under the floor of this Church beneath this Tablet, a brazen Cross indicating their site.
‘he that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord.’ Prov.XIX
Also those of Florence Travers, his widow, who died in the same house on the 5th day of August 1921, aged 70 years.
