Floor slab has a raised border; inscription in upper section. Decoration below this consists of an elaborate fleur-de-lys placed centrally towards the bottom, with right and left stems extending to form an elaborate scroll. Within the left scroll is carved the letter ‘A’ and within the right the letter ‘H’. The central stem of the fleur-de-lys extends to form a finial-like pendant of teardrop and ball, above a floral-like motif finished with two rows of five balls (possibly representative of seed heads). Either side of the rows of balls are scrolls; on the left of these the letter ‘R’ is inscribed and to the right the letter ‘M’.
The lettering is incised roman script. It is in English of larger font size in first five and last five lines and in Welsh in central sixth to tenth lines is incised roman script of smaller font size. Long ‘s’ used in third and third from last line.
