Small stone is set within red and black tiles and 45’ to N/S/E/W/ lines. This odd ledgerstone may have been placed here when new tiles were fitted to the chancel floor later in the 19thc

Condition poor. Two large cracks criss cross from centre. About 25% of surface delaminated or spalled

“Thorng” should read Thorngrove a prominent Georgian house about 1 mile to the west of the church, formerly occupied by Lucian Bonaparte for a few years in exile.
