A badly worn slab with the inscription only partially legible, in roman caps and l/c. At the head is an achievement of arms, complete with mantling and crest of a phoenix rising.
There are some ʃ.
The blazoning is:
Ermine three chevronels gules [SELFE] impaling on a chevron
three fleur-de-lys, as many gilly flowers slipped [GUPPEY] (ref a)
