Bas-relief achievement in roundel above inscription depicting a skull under which are swirling ribbons. The background is finely chiselled.
Roman caps and lowercase, long ʃ; names in italics
Condition very good; rail runs across top of roundel.

in the 66th Year of her Age

SARAH only Daughter of
SIMON and MARY TIFFIN died 22nd of Feb 1731.
In the 28th Year of her Age.
To the Memory of her loving Huʃband,
and dutiful Daughter, moʃt tender of her Mother and belov’d by all that knew her,
and for the future Repoʃe of her own Remains.
MARY TIFFIN aboveʃaid cauʃed this Stone to be laid.
According to which Intention SIMON TIFFIN
her only Son did cauʃe here to be interr’d
the Body of his much Lamented Parent
by her dereʃt Relations, and where her
Uncommon Prudence and many other exemplary
Virtues are well Known, and will be long
Remember’d.
